Norway’s Lofoten Islands are one of the most spectacular places in the world as splitboard touring destination. Alpine style peaks rise from sea level up to 1100 meters. With options on all slope aspects and everything from mellow, flowing descents to steeper couloirs, the terrain caters for everyone. The weather can often be 4 seasons in one day. This usually always allows a great weather window even on the murkiest of days.
Accommodation
As with many of our courses, we have chosen to rent a property and self-cater in Kalle, close to the towns of Kavelbag and Svolvaer. This is a great way to run a real snowboarding adventure. It’s relaxed, keeps costs down and is a great way for the group to hang out, gel and bond together. Everyone mucks in so come with your best, hearty recipe to help feed the troops one night.
Logistics
Harstaad/Narvik (EVE) airport services Lofoton Island. The best route is to take a flight to Oslo and then take a connecting flight North to EVE. From here it is a stunning 2.5hr drive to our base in the breathtaking lodge at Kalle.
